bones sinking like stones.

all of us are done for

you're my sunshine, you're my rain.

if not for the speech project later, i'd be going to school (which is 1and a half's hour travel time away) for only 20 mins. moan and groan.

what would we do without taxi drivers? in the 12-13 weeks i've been to school.. i've taken at least 10 cab rides from dover to school. which roughly adds up to 50$ with the surcharge and all. just where the hell did i get the money from.

well if you are taking the cab after midnight and you want him/her to go above 120kmh on the CTE, make up a fake phone call and conjure up a story only taxi drivers will believe. that's not so hard since as long as you blame the government along the way, they'll gladly go above any speed limit quietly.

for example,
(on the phone to your psuedo-phone-caller)
"well i can't ask the taxi driver to go any faster! the speed limit's at 100kmh here. dont blame me for being late ok! blame the government."

ok i've not really tried that, so if you do try it, come back here and tell me if it works.
it would be best if you could make up a story with your fake friend on the phone based on your desired destination.

lets say you're going to the hospital. make it sound like someone's dying soon and tell your friend you'll reach there in 10 mins. most of the time, you'll reach there in ten minutes.
then again, if you are going to the hospital after midnight, most probably someone IS passing away and you would not need to fake the phone call.

of course, you "end" your phone conversation and talk to the taxi driver to tell him what's happening over on the other side. he is very curious after listening in to your "phone conversation" no? so after you tell him just enough that you run out of juice to carry on with the conversation with him, do a 'oh-someone-just-called-and-hold-on' act. then talk more to your 'mysterious caller'. then carry on with where you left off. YOU HAVE TO calm your friend down and say you'll be there shortly.

by this time (unless you took the cab from pasir ris and are planning to reach clementi in 10mins...) you'd most probably a few turns away from your destination. end all phone calls. then try to relate the surroundings to the story to make yourself sound credible. like, if you see a car parked somewhere it should not be parking, say that's your friend's boyfriend's car. then he'll say "wah.. so rich ah your friend" then you reply his father is some MP shit or what.. he'll be so pissed he'll do a crazy draft into your carpark (ever played crazy taxi?).

of course you should leave your phone on silent all the time, in case your friend really calls you inbetween your "conversation" with him/her.

it works. =)
