The Forums.
Some are real witty, some make me incensed for their petty complaints (like recently how a group of JC students/alumni recounted how taxing and tiring their school lives be; "we never set out of school till the set of the sun" crap).
The marble dropping at 2am story was first 'reported' by a 'concerned' HDB dweller, and i couldnt stop laughing reading the guy's letter, and how the govt reacted to it(since it was directed to them, of all people).
The only thing i find rather boring about it is how the companies in question reply. it is as if they have some template set by Straits Times to reply to the complaints, or bouquets.

WHICH IS MOST ACCURATE TIME?
THERE are many time indicators available to the public, for example, MediaCorp TV and radio broadcast, Teletext, telco updates to mobile phones, 1711 service and so on.
Can the authorities please advise which is the most accurate?

WRONG WAY TO CROSS STREET
ON AUG 25 at about 6.40pm, I was driving along Buangkok Green. As I turned into Hougang Street 93, I had a shock.
A man in blue uniform, presumably a school watchman or security guard, was leading a group of Hougang Primary school children across the pedestrian crossing, though the traffic light was in my favour.
With the Traffic Police trying to advocate a spirit of safety, why do people still try their luck just to get home a little earlier?

CONDUCT DIALECT CLASSES FOR TEENS
I AM absolutely clueless when my grandparents try to speak to me, resorting to hand signals most of the time as I cannot understand my own dialect. If clan associations or the Chinese Development Assistance Council can conduct classes (preferably free!) for teenagers like us, most parents will urge their kids to attend as it will spare the family from embarrassment at large family gatherings.
The Government speaks fondly of 'family togetherness', and this will be a judicious approach to bridge old and young. It is tragic that distressed teenagers like me cannot appreciate the richness of our multilingual society.

i dont really get what you're trying to say, but, well. i read the forums everyday and this is the type of crap they put in the papers. can't they like, talk about evil cab drivers who follow you to ask for a fight, or how amazing the Klazz Brothers & Cuban Percussion were tonight?
