what can we do without them?
every year, i face obstacles during the hari raya visiting period shit.
last year i kinda got off the hook while cooping up in my room "studying" for the Os.
this year i might run away from it all by staying in school doing "work".
but if i ever get cornered and have no other way out, i might really have to entertain the visitors.
most of the time, i ask the most basic of questions. questions i know the answer to already. last year, my neighbours from downstairs came over while i was studying for my human-geog paper. i said no work to them. but this year, i predict a horde of question ranging from how i did for the Os last year (since their daughter is the same age as i am) to how was bangkok or how im related to shyrra (the daughter, who is anwar's friend, who, in the 2 years she's been living under me, has NEVER smiled back, looked me in the eye or flash any part of her body to me. talk about rudeness) .
ok ok, so my point is. i need help making a template of Q & As for people trying to figure out what im doing now.
i can see myself saying
- yea, my schoools damn far. i wake up at 5.30 for an 8 oclock lecture. only to see sleepy faces all around. to 5 different people.
and asking
- what school? what cca? how was the exams? how was the english paper? what subjects did you take?
or
- so.... want me to get any food? (my cue to dissappear into my room.)
. if i had a template , i can do away with all the awkwardness hari raya is for me.
